Curling 2010 is currently in the playtesting stage. There may be a few design tweaks between now and release, but all game features are ready to go. A walk-through tutorial was recently added to help better explain the rules of curling and game control.

Things are on track for a release this month - just in time for the Winter Olympics in Vancouver! Updated screenshots can be found below, including new views of practice mode and target competitions. Game Types
Traditional Match
Compete in a traditional curling match with up to 4 teams. Control the number of ends, shots per team, free guard rules, and more. Play locally with friends, over Xbox LIVE, or against the computer on 3 difficulty levels.
Target Competition
Accuracy is key. Come closer to a set of targets than your opponents to score. Includes closest stone and average distance scoring modes for up to 4 players.
Practice Mode
Work on your curling skills. Choose preset shots from multiple common curling scenarios, or switch to editor mode and place stones wherever you like. Replay shots over and over to hone your skills. Features
Collect Badges
Earn unique badges for quality (and no so quality) shots. Badge totals are displayed per player at the end of each match for your bragging convenience.
Earn Awards
Unlock curling awards as your skills progress.
Track your Stats
Keep track of your wins and losses across game types, all the badges you've ever received, the number of shots taken, and much more.
Easy to Play, Tough to Master
Simple and intuitive controls make starting out easy. A guided tutorial explains the rules of curling and common strategies. Varied game types and multiple levels of computer opponent skills keep matches competitive. |
